When will the recommender know the time to SEND your recommendation ?

Application and recommendation both have to be submitted to us by July 31 CST.  It is responsibility of student to follow up with your recommenders to be sure they have sent the recommendation on-time.

How does the recommender submit a recommendation?

The recommender will e-mail the recommendation to Application@namuhope.org .

How long does the recommender have to submit their recommendation form?

Recommenders have until the application deadline of July 31 CST to submit. We encourage applicants to communicate with their recommenders to make sure they successfully e-mail back the form on time.

Can my recommender submit a letter of recommendation instead of completing the via e-mail ?

No, the only acceptable recommendation for this application is the via e-mail form. An actual paper letter of recommendation will not be accepted.

When do I receive award notice after submitting the application ?

After 2-3 weeks of application deadline, all students will be notified even they’re not selected to receive the scholarship award.

As a NAMUHOPE Foundation Scholar, what is expected of me?

The Foundation expects each NAMUHOPE Foundation Scholar to  
think big, work hard, and:

• Maintain a strong academic record (As and Bs in an unweighted GPA calculation) while taking an appropriately challenging course load.
  
  
• Act with honesty and personal integrity.
  
  
• Demonstrate character and leadership.
  
  
• Be concerned about and engaged in their community.

These responsibilities are outlined in a letter of commitment included in the award packet, signed by the NAMUHOPE Foundation Scholar and the scholar’s parent(s) or guardian(s).

How can I use the scholarship?

A successful NAMUHOPE Foundation Scholars use the scholarship to nurture academic skills explore passions and interests, succeed in high school and prepare for college
